Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Spendly, a voice-first money management app for couples, at spendly.wtf and any related apps. By creating an account or using Spendly, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use Spendly.

You sign in with Google. You’re responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything that happens under it. You must be at least 18 years old to use Spendly.

Spendly lets you log income and expenses by voice or manually, tag them as shared or personal, track budgets, recurring bills, debts, and savings, and optionally pair with a partner to see a combined household picture. Spendly does not link to your bank accounts and does not initiate, move, or hold any money on your behalf — it’s a record-keeping tool, not a payment or banking service.

Nothing in Spendly is financial, tax, or legal advice. Budgets, projections, and charts are based on what you enter and are estimates, not guarantees.

Pairing only happens once both people go through it — one of you sends or enters a pairing code, and the other accepts it. Once paired, you and your partner see each other’s full ledger: every transaction, budget, and debt, not only the ones tagged shared. The “Us” / “Just me” tag labels whose spending something is for household accounting; it isn’t a privacy setting and doesn’t hide anything from a paired partner.

You agree not to:

• Use Spendly for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to log data you don’t have the right to share (for example, someone else’s finances without consent).
• Attempt to access another user’s account or data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt Spendly’s infrastructure, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
• Reverse engineer or scrape the app beyond normal use.

You own the transaction, budget, and other data you enter into Spendly. You grant Spendly the license needed to store, process, and display it back to you (and, once paired, your partner) in order to run the app. Voice recordings you submit are sent to third-party providers for transcription and parsing as described in the Privacy Policy.

Spendly is provided on an as-is, as-available basis, with no uptime guarantee. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time. We’ll try not to surprise you, but we don’t promise advance notice for every change.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or directly here. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery grace period, so export anything you want to keep first. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.

Spendly is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spendly and its operator aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including inaccurate transcriptions, categorization mistakes, or data loss. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Spendly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
